Paolo Re, musician and writer knows that wishing is not enough. One day he realises that his goals and professional satisfactions, as well as a full life and a happy family are not enough to live a life as his wife Claudia and himself would have liked. He wishes for everything to be changed, for a different future more beautiful, full, creative and free than now. He would like to give his daughter the possibility of trusting the world and dreaming. So he starts believing that, maybe, not everything has been written and turns his need of a motivating force and new ideas into a compass allowing him to take control of his life for a new start. Starting at zero and moving to an unknown place.
That’s why in summer 2010 he visits New Zealand and fascinated he decides, in accordance with his family, to move there in January 2012. One-way ticket for his wife, daughter, himself, dog and cat. Italy and everything he has built, up to that moment, becomes the springboard to go and live in another Country where to “Re-find oneself ”, while going back to express his creativity in total mental and spiritual tuning. Start a new life from scratch, a better future more tied to his deep himself. “This is our Koru meaning start of growing in force and peace in Maori language”, say after four months from departure Paolo and his wife looking at the dream they, like their parents, have given to their daughter: making dreams come true. Paolo Re starts writing a travel diary blog to tell his new extraordinary adventure and share it with everybody else. A virtual notebook from which, through videos, pictures, stories, interviews he carries out and aires daily and weekly on his blog – http://myfamilygoesto.tumblr.com/ as well as on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/myfamilygoesto, he portrays, with his family, life stories in a wonderful Country, quite unknown in Europe. New musical bands, famous artists, famous or unknown places to be explored, food and wines to be tasted but also interviews to other foreigners that found in New Zealand a place to live and be successful. Without forgetting every day’s life…
A multimedia experience that will also make use of traditional media – Re is writing a book – among art, culture, music, places, eno-gastronomy and a bit of web-reality.
The project will be presented on May 10 in Milan on streaming connection with Paolo and his family in Auckland. Re will be available to speak about himself and to reply to all questions the public present at First Floor Under will ask him. The evening is completely dedicated to New Zealand with the presence of New Zealand’s Consul General Mrs. Clare Louise Wilson in her official capacity.

TheBox e TheDox trascorrono la loro esistenza sul divano di casa davanti alla tv.
Entrambi sono affetti da una forma di dipendenza televisiva, che si manifesta attraverso comportamenti e reazioni completamente opposte, il primo usa la tv per addormentarsi mentre il secondo è vittima dell’ istinto irrefrenabile dello zapping.
E’ così che la parte di pensiero razionale lascia spazio al mondo sconosciuto ed inconsapevole del proprio subconscio.
Il cervello di TheBox diventa una roccaforte senza più alcuna difesa di fronte ai pericolosi stimoli esterni, il segnale audio della tv è il nemico che si insinua tra le sinapsi cognitive influenzandone i sogni e controllandone la coscienza, dando vita a sogni ed allucinazioni che interagiscono con l’ ambiente circostante senza alcun controllo…

The Box and Dox spend their entire lives sitting on the couch in front of the TV. Both are afflicted with a very powerful addiction to television. This addiction plays out in their behaviors and reactions, which are polar opposites of each other. The Box uses the TV to fall asleep, while Dox is a victim of his unstoppable instinct of channel surfing. They both need TV, albeit for different purposes.
Falling into his habitual deep sleep, The Box loses contact with reality, letting himself go completely into the dream world. This is where the character’s rational mind makes room for the unknown and unknowing world of his subconscious.
The Box’s brain, like an unprotected fortress, lies defenseless as it is accosted by dangerous outside stimuluses. The TV’s audio signal is the enemy that creeps in between the cognitive synapses of the sleeping protagonist, influencing his dreams and controlling his consciousness.
The Box, like a sponge, passively absorbs all the audio stimuluses that come from the outside; reworking them and unknowingly transmitting them back into reality as interactive hallucinations uncontrolled and interacting freely with their surrounding environment…

IL NOSTRO PENSIERO CREA LA REALTA’ CHE CI CIRCONDA

Questo emerge dagli ultimi studi di fisica quantistica. Seppur in modo inconscio l’uomo è un creatore continuo, infatti quando pensa, parla, desidera, soffre, gioisce, ecc., crea delle strutture energetiche attorno a sé, che saranno tanto più potenti e resistenti, quanto più forti sono stati i pensieri, i sentimenti, i desideri, e le emozioni che le hanno generate. In questo modo viene a crearsi una struttura energetica vitalizzata che prende il nome di “forma – pensiero”.
